The typical Mediterranean climate of Malta is sunny, with a daily average of five to six hours of sunshine in midwinter and 12 hours in summer. Its remarkably mild winters and piercing blue skies make it ideal for long walks in the lush countryside. You can enjoy some of the clearest waters in the Mediterranean, walking/trekking tours, land and water sports and Maltese festivals.
